The event is jointly sponsored by the three Sustainable Development thematic groups, the Social & Environment TG, the Urban & Water TG,  and the Agriculture, Food & Rural Development TG.

 

You are invited to a special holiday Luncheon/Talk on December 14, 2023 at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC. The presentation will be also be available on webex.

Speaker: Richard Damania, Chief Economist of the Sustainable Development Vice Presidency. Mr. Damania will present the main findings from the recent SD publication “Detox Development: repurposing environmentally harmful subsidies”. Following the talk, a luncheon will be served —an occasion to reconnect with former colleagues and celebrate the holiday season.

Venue:  MC – C1- 200 (the same level as the dining room after the elevators – towards the 19th street side)
Time: 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm (please note that the presentation on Webex start at 12 pm. and the luncheon at 1 pm.)

Luncheon cost: $22 (payment by cash only). Please let us know if you will join for lunch by Monday, December 11. Seating capacity is limited to 50 people
