World Bank Group FY21 Community Connections Campaign Launched

Have Your Charitable Donation Tripled by Giving Through the Community Connections Campaign

The World Bank Group (WBG) offers a program to match charitable donations of retirees and staff called the Community Connections Campaign (CCC). Through the CCC, all staff, consultants, and retirees can make donations to a list of participating NGOs and have their gifts matched by the World Bank Group. The CCC supports over 400 nonprofit organizations, including global NGOs and local nonprofits in the Washington, DC region and many communities where the WBG has country offices.

As we all know, this has been an especially challenging year for many of us and our communities. Many of our CCC NGO partners are working on the escalating challenges in our world, including COVID-19 consequences, responses to racial injustice, and disasters driven by climate change. In response to this increased need, World Bank Group has raised its corporate match for CCC donations from 100% to 200% for the FY21 CCC; for every $1 you donate to an organization through the CCC, the World Bank Group will give an additional $2 to that same organization. A donor can contribute up to $25,000 and have it matched.

This year’s CCC opens on Monday, November 2 and closes at 6:59pm ET Thursday, December 17. You can access the CCC platform via the Donation Matching page on the Retiree Portal using the new login process from the Pension office.

Please note that to participate and have your gifts tripled, you will be asked when you first login the Pension Portal and access Donation Matching page to provide your consent for the WBG to share your email address with the external vendor of the CCC platform, Benevity. This is for account creation purposes.
