Speakers: Thomas Lee (Managing Partner, Fundstarts) and Gabriel Petre, Lead Investment Strategist, Pension and Endowments Department of the World Bank.

Thomas J. Lee, CFA, is Managing Partner and Head of Research of Fundstrat Global Advisor. Thomas Lee is well known in Wall Street and has over 24 years of experience in equity research. Prior to founding Fundstrat in 2016, Mr. Lee was at J.P. Morgan from 1999 to 2014, and served as Chief Equity Strategist from 2007 to 2014. He has been top ranked by Institutional Investor every year since 1998. His areas of expertise include Market Strategy, Small/Mid-Cap Strategy, Telecom Services and crypto currencies. He has previously served as Managing Director at Salomon Smith Barney.He is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) and the Economic Club of NY. He received his BSE from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.

Gabriel Petre, CFA, is the Lead Investment Strategist, the Pension and Endowments Department of the World Bank Treasury. The department manages over $25 billion of pension and other retirement benefit portfolios invested across a range of asset classes, including fixed income, public and private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. Gabriel Petre is responsible for developing asset allocation strategies for the World Bank’s staff retirement fund. As part of his work he has also been involved in advising central banks of developing countries on reserves management issues, governments from developing countries on investment policy issues related to public pension funds and official institutions of commodity-rich countries in setting up sovereign wealth funds. He joined the World Bank Treasury in July 2006. Before joining the World Bank, he worked for 3 years at the National Bank of Romania, as part of the team in charge of the foreign reserves portfolio. He has an MBA from Georgetown McDonough School of Business.
