1818 Society’s 45th Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, November 9, 2023. At the meeting, the results of the 1818 Society’s 2023 elections were proclaimed.
Only one candidate submitted his nomination for the position of President and Chair of the Board. In accordance with Section 1(ii) of Article V of the By-Laws,
Anis Dani was elected unopposed as President and Chair of the Board
Board of Directors
The total number of valid ballots received for three (3) positions on the Board of Directors was 1,621, an increase of 19% over the ballots received in 2022. Of the six (6) candidates the three (3) who received the highest number of votes were:
Mark Walker: 939
Morallina George: 908
Maryvonne Plessis-Fraissard: 841
In accordance with Subsection 4(ii) of Article VI, the President and the three (3) winning candidates for Director have been elected to a three (3) year term.
