Footloose: Ramblings of Itchy Feel

At 18, a callow youth heads off for a summer in Antartica. Thus begins a footloose life of wandering. In the footsteps of Nixon in China. In the jungles of New Guinea. Down the river Niger to Timbuktu. In the coal mines of Poland and Russia. And across the troubled lands of the Middle East. Each with its unique cultural charm. In between, there are moments of calm, of family life, of suburbia. The years pass. Our callow youth now has wrinkles around the eyes. And enjoys musing about people, politics, religions and life.
