In July 2024 we initiated the online Book Repository and are pleased to report that we already have more than 525 books in our collection. We are now moving to the next stage of launching a Book Club with a panel discussion by a few of our authors. Book Club activities in 2026 will include readings of selected books from the Repository and monthly discussion meetings – possibly with the participation of the author.
The theme of this launch session is Biographies. The authors are your alumni colleagues who have published personal stories about themselves or someone they knew personally. When we announced the Book Repository at the 2024 Annual Meeting several of you asked what motivated the authors to write a book and how did they bring their thoughts together in the form of a book? How did they publish and disseminate their book? There is no single answer, so the first meeting of the Book Club will focus precisely on these questions, where the authors will share their experiences with you. Join us for a frank discussion of the joys and woes of book crafting: you may be tempted to write one yourself!
