Book Reading #2: An Event of the 1818 Book Network

The 1818 Book Network is organizing a series of monthly book reading sessions of books by retirees selected from the Book Repository. The theme for the initial group of books is “Memoirs and personal histories related to developing countries”. In the Book Repository most of these are in the category of Biography.

The second book reading session will be on The Linguist’s Family: Toraja in the Dutch East Indies, prisoners of wartime Japan, and the Republic of Indonesiaby Peter and Marjolein van der Veen.  The author will be joining us and will give a brief introduction at the start of the session.

The book is available on Kindle and Paperback on Amazon.  Please read the book in advance and join us for a lively discussion.
