The Art Club is thrilled to announce a two day/one night oil painting retreat at a serene spa and picturesque golf resort nestled on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
Breathe life into your paintings through dynamic brushwork and color in this workshop led by artist, Allen Bentley. His work is represented by the Bridgette Mayer Gallery in Philadelphia and Jo Fleming Contemporary Art in Annapolis, MD. Explore how inventive mark making and the working at speed process can greatly change the vibrancy of your creations.
Demonstrations of process and guidance will be the foundation of this exciting weekend of exploration. Students will work plein air (open air) along the waterfront of the Chesapeake Bay. You will create an original composition from direct observation while being inspired, challenged, and guided every step of the way.
When: May 18-19, 2025, 10am – 5pm daily
Where: Hyatt Regency on the Chesapeake Bay – 1.5 hours from DC
Deadline to register: April 15, 2025
Retreat Cost: $300 per person (meals and supplies are not included)
May 18 Hotel Cost: $250 (resort fees and taxes included)
