A presentation by 1818 Society Urban & Water TG on WaterAid America (WAA), one of the seven members of the WaterAid International Federation. Since 1981 WaterAid has helped almost 26 million people around the world gain access to clean water. WaterAid is well known to many of us and Bank colleagues have collaborated with the organization in supporting governments improve WASH services for communities around the world. In addition to supporting WaterAid’s global programs, and advocating for water, sanitation and hygiene with the US Government, WAA also manages projects closer to home in Nicaragua and Colombia.
Speaker: Sarina Prabasi, the CEO of WaterAid America (WAA). Sarina will speak about WaterAid’s approach, recent results in reaching the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, and its mission is to transform lives by improving access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).
