Come at 11:00 am for a half-hour of socializing before hearing from our speakers. Our first speaker, Tony Bigio, retired from the Bank in June 2013 as a Senior Urban Specialist and joined the Sustainable Urban Planning graduate program at George Washington University in January 2014 as an adjunct professor. He designed his own course, titled “Planning Resilient and Low-carbon Cities,” which is now a core course. Our second speaker, Art Bruestle, retired from the Bank in 1995 as a Principle Environmental Engineer. Earlier in his Bank career he specialized in Water Supply and Wastewater. In 2009 his enterprising wife Maggie started making and selling specialty pillows at home and selling to friends and neighbors. The bulk of sales now are from their website, ComfyComfy.com and Amazon. His millennium children help with web design, internet technologies and social media.
