Speaker: Frank Allen

Frank Allen joined the World Bank YP Program in 1988, after studying for an MBA at MIT. His career at the World Bank Group was mostly with the Central and Eastern Europe Department of IFC. He returned to work in Ireland and managed an Infrastructure Finance team for KBC Bank. He was appointed Chief Executive of the Railway Procurement Agency, a new public agency established to implement Dublin Light Rail and other projects in cooperation with planning authorities and the private sector. After 10 years in that role, he has worked as an urban transport advisor, including for the World Bank. He is also Chair of Irish Rail, the national railway company. He chairs the board of a start-up energy storage company, Corre Energy that is planning an IPO in September. At the moment he is supporting Peter in a Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning project in Bali and advising the Government of New Zealand on a light rail project for Auckland.
